For 6 weeks in January and February Sheila worked with Second year BA (Hons) Contemporary Theatre students from the University of Salford at The Imperial War Museum North to make Metes and Bounds, a collective response to the Catalyst: Contemporary Art and War exhibition that was being shown on Level One. Together, they made a performance which aimed to bring audience a little bit closer to the works on display and question perceptions of war and conflict, land and bodies, boundaries and nature.

It was a really interesting experience working at the Museum, not only did all of the making have to take place in public, but students had to sensitively respond to the site / subject matter themselves and place their own 'live' work alongside the work of other extraordinary artists...

The students recieved excellent feedback from the museum.  Read some comments about the work HERE.

The students involved were:

Catherine Hallas, Liam Byrne, Bethanie Southwell, Charlie Colquhon, Hannah Day, Glynn Slater, David Cannon, Laura Christou

With special thanks to Camilla Thomas (IWM) and Niki Woods (University of Salford)
